HAUKE AUTOMOTIVE got it’s start in the late 1970’s as Paul R Hauke , M.B.A. at an early age helped build Gateway Toyota (Toms River Toyota) in Toms River, N.J. into the largest Toyota dealership in the United States. Paul from the very first day and month on the job, and every month after, was the number one (#1) auto salesman in the dealership , from a total of sixty (60) , selling up to 45 -50 vehicles per month himself. He quickly progressed to the top spot as General Sales Manager and quickly and effortlessly took the sales numbers to the top making Gateway Toyota the top Toyota franchise in the U.S.A. Paul’s responsibility included developing marketing and sales strategies , the training of sales associates, and the development and implementation of successful sales and management systems for maximum sales volume and maximum gross dollar profits. Along the way Paul brought in his brother Richard Hauke and another , with the former underemployed and the latter unemployed. Richard Hauke stayed with the challenge and under the wings, supervision and training of Paul Hauke succeeded, the other left after a short time.

In 1986 an opportunity opened to open a new point for a Mitsubishi Dealership in Warwick, Rhode Island. Paul R Hauke along with his well trained brother Richard Hauke opened the new Mitsubishi store in 1986. Paul Hauke quickly built the dealership from zero dollars in sales to $40,000,000.00 in annual sales. The dealership, Century Mitsubishi quickly became the number one (#1) Mitsubishi dealership in sales in the United States. Much of this quick growth was due to the fleet program that Paul Hauke instituted and administered into a nationwide fleet sales program that at its peak was selling per year over 3,000 new vehicles. Paul’s responsibilities included the buying back of thousands of eligible fleet vehicles per year and reselling of same to numerous car dealerships nationwide.

Paul Hauke established at Century Mitsubishi a very successful and world class telemarketing department utilizing the newest telephone and computer technology. He utilized networked computers and his own custom designed database software to analyze specific prior sales information to model future customer buying patterns. Proven very successful and efficient for sales force telephone follow p and profitable prospecting. Paul Hauke called this digital marketing educational seminar program the Digital Dealer Conference Expo. This revolutionary seminar program was given to all dealership personnel and staff on a regular basis. Paul Hauke also wrote the greatest training program based on his successful sales strategies and insight , that he trained all sales persons and managers with, called the Monopolize Your Marketplace (R) Sales System. Because of Paul’s success in building two of the largest dealerships in the United States, his next goal was to build the largest dealer group in the U.S.A. Paul returned to New Jersey as Vice President of Interstate Management Associates dealer group, the holding company for the number one (#1), Gateway Toyota, Toyota store in the U.S.A. and the number one (#1), Century Mitsubishi, Mitsubishi store in the U.S.A. Implementing the winning practices of his Digital Dealer Conference Expo seminar programs and his Monopolize Your Marketplace (R) sales system he built the Interstate Management Associates Auto Group into the 17th. largest dealer group in the United States with thirteen auto dealer franchises located throughout the Mid Atlantic and New England states. Paul demanded and received a strong emphasis on successful sales training and efficient management systems for maximum sales volume, gross dollars, and net profits. As well as maximum customer satisfaction indexes from all franchise managers and staff.

Paul as Vice president of Interstate Management Associates was to negotiate fleet sales contracts with Hertz, Budget, Dollar and Avis car rental companies , as well as the national fleet sales vehicle buyback program administration, dealership trouble shooting, operations auditing and the resolution of conflicts and legal concerns within individual franchises.

Paul Hauke as Vice President of Interstate Management Associates Dealer Group had a very heavy and successful interaction with dealership management and staff, rental car accounts, network of nationwide dealers for fleet buybacks, accounting firms, legal advisors and law firms.

In 1995 Paul Hauke along with his brother Richard Hauke had the opportunity to take over a failing Mitsubishi dealership in Palm Springs , California. The new dealership , Champion Mitsubishi opened its doors in 1995 as a family owned and operated Mitsubishi franchise in Cathedral City, California. Paul Hauke formulated and executed plans to insure that dealership sales and profits objectives were met and exceeded. Paul produced the best policies and established the best procedures for training, motivating, compensating, controlling , and coordinating dealership personnel and and departments. Under Paul’s management Champion Mitsubishi was made into a “well oiled” fast paced , profitable , and high CSI dealership . Champion Mitsubishi quickly grew to be the number one (#1 ) Mitsubishi dealership in the Western region.
